Myrtle Beach Concert Series
Myrtle Beach’s Sounds of Summer Concert Series will kick-off on May 16th with a great line-up of artists playing a wide array of music. Concerts are held on the third Friday of every month from 7:00 to 9:00pm at McLean Park. Performances are complementary and provide a family friendly atmosphere for people all ages. •May 16th – Flat Jack Band (Blues, Funk and Soul) •June 20th - Coconut Grove Band (Motown, 60’s & 70’s and Oldies) •July 18th - Sea-Cruz (Beach) •August 15th – Too Much Sylvia (Top 40’s from 60’s to today) •September 19th – Jim Quick and Coastline (Beach and Blues)

Myrtle Beach Pavilion Location
The old Myrtle Beach Pavilion is long gone, still very much to the dismay of so many who hold fond memories of past amusement park visits. Now as you pass by where the rides and booths once stood, all that’s left is a sandy 11-acre lot. Thanks to the noticeably slower real estate market, owners Burroughs & Chapin Co. have put their redevelopment plans on hold for the parcel. Although the exact proposed development plan of the property has been kept a relative secret, the company previously mentioned building a complex to house restaurants, stores and other multi-use venues. The new structure is also intended to connect with the $12 million boardwalk project being developed by the city. Either way, area businesses will be happy to have the new building up and running, especially if it will bring more people back down to the beachfront.
