November 3rd, Election Day
Where once Election Day was a communal event, now it is just the day when voting ends. Options such as early voting, absentee ballots, and no-excuse voting mean that voters dont have to wait until voting day to cast their ballots. The Committee for Study of the American Electorate says that lack of interest that keeps Americans from voting, citing that concerned citizens vote. Low voter turnout says more about the community than the candidates.
