Lots of Free Stuff on Thursday, Tax Day
In the spirit of generosity or smart marketing, depending on one's view point, Thursday, tax day, was also "free give-aways" day at many participating shops and restaurants. One franchised restaurant company offered free ice cream, another free dinner for a child aged 12 or under. Coffee, buy-one-get-one-free meals, massages, cupcakes, and more were part of the national movement to help relieve even a modicum of economic stress (or sell more stuff).
