So, you’ve had enough playing in the sand and you want something more from Myrtle Beach. No worries, we’ve got you covered. Simply take a short drive to the Murrells Inlet area of SC, and you can visit Brookgreen Gardens - a place as rich with history as it is with natural beauty.
Specifically, you should come to Brookgreen Gardens for their boat tours and butterfly house. During the boat tour, a guide will educate you on the history of the rice fields as you’re riding through them. At the butterfly house, the interaction you’ll have with beautiful and rare butterflies will only serve to enhance Brookgreen Garden’s overarching focus on conservation.
The Gardens are open daily from 9:30 - 5, and open till 8pm in April. Admission is free for children 3 and under, $15 for ages 13-64, $13 for ages 64 and up and $7 for ages 4-12.
