Would you like to work some healthy exercise into your Myrtle Beach vacation, while still getting away from the stresses of everyday life? Then Myrtle Beach’s Heritage Shores Nature Preserve is the place for you! This true work of natural beauty can be found on Heritage Drive of North Myrtle Beach, on an island that extends into the Cherry Grove Marsh.
The preserve itself is made up of 7 full acres of walking paths. They’re unique because of the way they have been preserved in their natural state. Rather than having a tour guide or an audio tour along these paths, signs have been erected throughout that describe the plants, birds, fish, and other animals that can be found in the area. The preserve also has a boat ramp perfect for launching your kayak.
Heritage Shores Nature preserve is open from dawn to dusk and admission is free for all.
