SOS Spring Safari

What is SOS Spring Safari? It is like Spring Break for Adults in Ocean Drive – North Myrtle Beach. Come and experience a dance they call the Shag. SOS stands for Society of Stranders.
The annual SOS Spring Safari includes a wide variety of activities including tea parties, shag dancing, dance lessons, live music, and mingling with friends. As the sun goes down, all the local lounges light up with activity and spots like Duck’s, Fat Harold’s, Pirate’s Cove and the OD Lounge on Main Street become the center of nightlife and fun. The fun culminates with a parade featuring ACSC member clubs who plan, design, & build parade floats for fun and a chance to win one of the coveted awards.
Worlds Strongest Man
- Location: Burroughs & Chapin Pavilion Place
The quest for the title of SBD World’s Strongest Man (WSM) will once again take place at the Oceanfront at Burroughs & Chapin Pavilion Place. The competition will begin with qualifying rounds on Thursday and Friday, with final competitions on Saturday and Sunday, where a champion will be crowned.
Myrtle Beach International Film Festival

The 18th annual Myrtle Beach International Film Festival (MBIFF), billed as "The East Coast's answer to the Sundance Film Festival", will take place April 21-25, 2026 at Stone Theatres Grand 14 at the Market Common. Ranked #3 in the Top Film Festivals in North America by Destination Film Guide, the event will feature films and filmmakers from all over the world. During the four-day event, films will be screened with documentaries, dramas, comedies, horror movies, short films and more.
